Stricter Rules Due to the Formalities Brought on by the Pandemic: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to additional health and safety protocols, contributing to delays in visa processing.
Global Events Impacting Visa Policies: International events, such as geopolitical tensions and policy changes, have influenced visa regulations and processing times.
Steps Taken by the Government
On June 24, 2022, officials from the Ministry of External Affairs held discussions with foreign countries, including Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, the UK, and the USA, to streamline and expedite visa appointments for Indian students. These efforts aimed to address the delays and ensure that students could commence their studies as planned.

Consider Priority and Super Priority Visas: Although it might incur additional costs, opting for priority or super priority visa services can expedite the process. Some institutions may reimburse these fees if the delay was on their part.
